On Tuesday, October 5, 2010, a special ceremony took place at the Ben Yakir Youth Village in honour of Jay Fink from Sydney, Australia, who generously contributed his Bar Mitzvah gifts to upgrading two computer rooms and supporting sport activities at the Ben Yakir Youth Village. Jay also contributed to Ben Yakir's special Bar Mitzvah program where students are given the opportunity to personally learn and connect with their religious and cultural heritage while learning of their obligations as young Jewish men.

Irit Barash, Director of the English Speaking Countries Department at KH-UIA, moderated the ceremony and spoke movingly of the Fink family's outstanding contribution and commitment to Israel. She personally thanked Bruce Fink, President of UIA - NSW and his wife Lauren, for their extraordinary commitment and leadership. Irit Barash praised Jay's exceptional generosity in reaching out to disadvantaged Israeli boys of his age, describing his act as "inspirational beyond measure".
Major General res., Aharon Ze'evi-Farkash, former head of IDF Intelligence and graduate of Ben Yakir, greeted the Fink Family. He praised Jay for his generosity while thanking the Fink family for their commitment and dedication to the State of Israel.
Also attending the ceremony was Israel's famed basketball icon, Tal Brody, currently Chairman of the Israel Spirit Campaign. Brody thanked Jay and the Fink Family for their commitment and expressed his personal pleasure at Jay's decision to support Ben Yakir's basketball program, speaking of the crucial role athletics plays in nurturing youth, and its importance to Israeli society.

Bruce Fink represented the Fink family and spoke movingly of the pride he and his wife Lauren felt in their son Jay's decision to donate his Bar Mitzvah gifts. He also spoke of how privileged he felt to work with Keren Hayesod - UIA.
