Garin Yachad, located in the city of Beit She'an in the north of Israel, at the junction of the Jordan River Valley and the Jezreel Valley, was created to strengthen the educational, economic and social wellbeing of Beit She'an.
Yachad is a, a group of idealistic, newly religious, Zionist young adults committed to social change. Drawing their energies from the Beit Midrash, Torah learning center, Yachad members implement an array of cultural and informal educational activities for the local community, making remarkable inroads in community empowerment. Communal life revolves around the Jewish study center, cultural activities, women's study center, shared festival meals, shared projects, and warm friendships.
Yachad's projects are varied in scope and include work with youth-at-risk, one-on-one mentoring, an after-school learning center for students with learning disabilities, a center for family living, community building and tending a pomegranate orchard.
