Two representatives of family foundations, Amy Sorenson of Israel and Janice Levin of Montreal, Canada, recently toured Jewish Agency projects.
The visitors experienced an exceptional tour on January 24.
The foundation representatives visited the Jewish Agency's Merchavia Absorption Center, where they heard a report on the initial absorption of immigrants from Ethiopia, met with ulpan students and were very impressed by the new Ethiopian Jewish Heritage display at the center’s museum.

The next meeting was in Tiberias, where Amy and Janice met with trustees and directors of the Youth Futures program in that city. The visitors were impressed by the devotion and commitment to the program and the special connection with the children participating in the program.
The third and last stop was at the Hadassah Neurim Youth Village. There the foundation representatives met with the village director, who explained the village’s unique programs. They visited the new track and field stadium, watched outstanding athletic students at sports practice and visited the homes where the children live with the families of the teachers and counselors.

At the end of the tour Amy and Janice enthusiastically praised the projects they had seen and promised to continue supporting the Jewish Agency.
